Weekends through October
This annual event at the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden takes place every weekend in October. You and your kids will enjoy trick-or-treat stations, special animal encounters, a Harry-Potter inspired sorting ceremony, and a magic show! A full schedule of Halloween-themed animal encounters can be found on the Zoo’s website.

October 18th and 19th, 7:00-8:30 pm
Visit Caldwell Nature Center for a pumpkin-lit walk through the park. Along the trail, you’ll meet costumed characters from nature and history. This activity is recommended for kids ages 3-10, and hikes will last about an hour. Visit the Cincinnati Parks website to register.
October 26th and 27th, 12:00-6:00 pm
Live music and local vendors are on the agenda for Washington Park’s Fall Fest Weekend! With vendors as diverse as 80 Acres Farms, Buddy Roger’s Music, and Just Q’in BBQ, you’ll have plenty of options to keep the whole family entertained. More details available from the Washington Park website.
With crisp weather and leaves turning, it’s the perfect time to enjoy the great outdoors by camping in a local park. There are campgrounds available all over the Cincinnati area, from Lake Isabella to Miami Whitewater to Winton Woods.
